Minnie Driver & Natalie Lewis

  • The Yard Hampshire Alresford, England, SO24 9TX United Kingdom (map)

Fame, fashion and managing expectations - join resident host Rebecca Fletcher as she talks to The Yard's guests, Minnie Driver and Natalie Lewis, about writing life, navigating fame and fashion and sharing stories of a world shrouded in smoke and mirrors.

One of our most beloved actresses, Minnie Driver is probably best known for her breakout role in Circle of Friends and the 1997 film Good Will Hunting for which she was nominated for both the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and a Screen Actors Guild Award. She has appeared in numerous TV programmes, including The Riches, starring opposite Eddie Izzard and was nominated for an Emmy and Golden Globe.  Minnie's recent films include Searchlight Pictures' biopic, Chevalier, about Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges, son of an African slave and a French plantation owner who rose to improbable heights in French society as a celebrated violinist and composer and 20th Century's Rosaline.  She appeared in the latest adaptation of Cinderella for Amazon and as well as the Amazon series, Modern Love.  Minnie is a gifted singer and songwriter with three studio albums to her name and is the host of the podcast Minnie Questions with Minnie Driver.  Both witty and hugely profound, her 'tell-most' memoir, Managing Expectations, brings her formidable storytelling skills to her own life and is suffused with warmth and humour, charting Minnie's unconventional childhood, her subsequent fame, and beyond.

Natalie Lewis is an expert in the world of fashion PR, having worked in the business for over 30 years.  Her agency, Brower Lewis PR, was one of the leading PR firms in London renowned for creating the launches and strategies for brands such as Net-a-Porter.com, Jimmy Choo, Matches and Matches.com, Diane von Furstenberg and Anya Hindmarch.  Selling the agency and going freelance in 2007, she has worked with high-profile clients including Bella Freud, Marie-Chantal of Greece, Amanda Wakeley, Robbie Williams, James Perse, Claudia Schiffer and latterly, Victoria Beckham, whom she worked with as a consultant for twelve years. Taking a sabbatical in 2020, she wanted to write for herself and published her first novel, Don't Believe the Hype, which has been described as The Devil Wears Prada meetsCall My Agent.  Natalie is currently working on a number of projects with Francesca Amfitheatrof, Artistic Director of Jewellery and Watches at Louis Vuitton, and consulting for the Freddie Mercury auction at Sotheby’s, while also working on her second book.
